Health Family Community

Richmond Addiction Services is to “improve the lives of those affected by addiction”. We respect the integrity of each human being and believe that each person has the ability to change and accept personal responsibility for his/her physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and social health. We approach addiction through a harm reduction model that recognizes and incorporates abstinence.

Youth and Family Program

The Youth and Family Program at Richmond Addiction Services strives to support Richmond families in their experience of and struggles with substance misuse, problem gambling and gaming.

Prevention Program

 

In helping Richmond residents to become aware of and knowledgeable about substance misuse and addiction, our team of Addiction Specialists and Counsellors provides customized education workshops, training, youth and parent groups, public forums, special events and other collaborative initiatives.

Gambling Program

Provides counseling to individuals and families, concerned about their own gambling or that of a family member or friend, in collaboration with S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Services offered in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; interpretation for other languages may be arranged.

Drop In

RASS is now offering a drop in time between 1:00pm to 2:00pm from Monday to Friday so that members of community, individuals, parents, families and community agencies have access to help each day between that time. We are open and available daily for resources, guidance and help!Smile

Assessment & Referral

Service starts with an initial phone call to 604-270-9220. Our staff will gather information necessary to determine which of our services are appropriate, or if a referral to detox, residential treatment, recovery and/or other community resources is necessary.

CATS - Constructive Alternative to Teen Suspension Program

The “CATS Program” (Constructive Alternatives to Teen Suspension) is a 3 day, structured psycho-educational program for youth.

Aging Well Program

We offer outreach counselling and case management to seniors at home. We work very closely with other professionals in the community to develop collaborative programs to keep our seniors healthy.

Counselling Services
