Clem Fong - Practicum Student

Clem is in his final year at CityU’s (University of Seattle) Masters in Counselling Psychology program. Over the last three years he has been augmenting his academic endeavours through his roles at Rain City Housing and Support Society and volunteering at the Crisis Centre. As a front line support worker he has gained valuable experience in developing therapeutic relationships and working with clients struggling with concurrent disorders.  Working in Vancouver’s DTES has raised his awareness to the societal challenges of intergenerational trauma, social justice and marginalization. Clem has previous experience as an ESL teacher both in Asia and in Vancouver. His interests include fishing, kayaking, hockey, camping, meditation, cycling and connecting with friends and healthy living.
